Where Wood Meets Stone
My work is born from a lifelong fascination with the physical materials of the Alps. My practice is built on a simple, architectural challenge: balancing heavy, permanent elements with the warmth of natural wood. Based in Ossana, Northern Italy, every piece I create is a study in material honesty—revealing how high-altitude timber and mountain stone support, cut through, and anchor one another.
The Logic of the Material
Material Dialogue: The core of every design is the interplay between the cold precision of Adamello granite and the organic texture of alpine larch, oak and other noble woods.
Architectural Logic: I don’t just build furniture; I engineer functional landscapes. I focus on clean lines and interlocking structures that show how the piece holds itself together.
Small-Batch Integrity: To ensure quality and minimize waste, I handcraft every object to order or in very limited editions within the Val di Sole.
The Maker
Originally from Germany, my name is Felix, but my friends and family have used Felice as a nickname since I was a child. It is the Italian equivalent of my name, but it also describes my personality—it literally means “The Happy One.” I find a genuine joy in the precise mechanics of the workbench, and I believe that positivity carries through into the finished objects I send out into the world.
For me, creating these pieces is a return to a core passion for building lasting, physical things. When I am not at the bench, I am usually in the mountains that provide my materials. Whether mountaineering or splitboarding through the rugged trails of the Val di Sole, this constant immersion in the landscape informs the durability and character of everything I make.
